Friday marked the end of Brianna's formal school days - no more lessons - there are just the Year 12 exams to go after this block of school holidays. In the morning, the students were allowed to have "Muck Up Day" - Brianna tie-dyed her summer uniform for the event! Boys wore girls uniforms, girls wore boys uniforms, they used super-soaker and Nerf guns, they made a huge soapy slip-n-slide and slid down the hill (bear in mind it was only 13C here yesterday and Brianna is soaked through!) and they had tins of 'silly string' too! I attended their final full school assembly at 10.30 - they had all changed back into their proper uniforms by then. They entered the hall, each student holding the hand of a 'reception' student, the littlest kids in the college - representing the beginning and end of schooling and the little kids had a picture and drawing to present the Year 12's. Very cute.

After exams in early November, I will never have to iron another blue school shirt - something I have been doing since 1995 when Kirby first started primary school. Through winter and summer I have always prided myself on having fresh ironed shirts for the girls. Sad really.
