This is the huge arrangement of beautiful red roses that was on our mate Dudda's casket (they took the arrangement to the wake) - I would guess there would have been over 100 roses and it measured about 5 feet long. His wife chose these because he always bought her red roses. It was a huge funeral (maybe 500+ people) and a beautiful way to farewell our mate. His son spoke so beautifully about his dad and six other men gave testament to Dudda's beloved character as a larrikin, good mate and colleague to so many. The wake went on well into the night.~
(amazingly - this was taken on my E71 Nokia phone)The big sky on the way home from Adelaide on Sunday. A bit of a storm brewing - the weather has been unseasonally warm for the start of August - really weird in fact. I have trees that are already spouting new green leaves that don't normally get them until mid September.
