Marie from A Year at Oak Cottage had this lovely picture on her blog recently and I just had to post it too. Ooh, and her recipes are yummy!

Thursday morning was very cold and foggy. This is a view out the back of our place, the building is an old stable with coach house. I love how the fog was just hovering low around the windmill.

This is our huge flock of sheep - on the left is Hoppy (he is old and not very nimble on his feet) and on the right is DJ. He actually belongs to my brother in law and is a pet sheep. When they left their farm for town life they thought they'd have to have him destroyed but we said he could come and live on our 2.5 acres. He will come up for a scratch on the nose and once a year, I have to trim the fleece from his eyes so he can see better. They gets shorn, drenched and have lice treatment every October by my other brother in law. Lifes good, down on the farm!

Sun coming up on Friday morning - the sunrises have been very pretty some mornings because of the fog. I actually missed a really good picture on Thursday morning of whispy low cloud hanging between trees and houses the other morning. I was on my way into town for a loaf of bread but didn't have time to double back for my camera. Drats!

I had half a meltdown on Thursday morning. After not one, but two trips into town early, I had still forgot to get something and was angry with myself. Then I didn't think I had a fresh shirt for Bri to wear to school (I get angry when I do 'Mum fails') but there was actually 2 clean ones in the clean, dried clothes basket, then this happened, then that happened, then the cleaner cancelled (and we were having a guest for dinner that evening - Grr!), then I nearly sconed myself (with a basket with 6 glass coffee jars in it) trying to put something away in the linen press. I let out an almighty blood curdling screeeeeaaam/groan! It frightened the life out of Angus (who I thought had left for work) and made myself feel stupid!

The sign is quite true - until I drop those balls I juggle, nobody takes notice of what I do around the place - the 2 loads of washing (at least) a day, hanging out, bringing in, folding, picking up, putting away, tidying, straightening, relocating, wiping, dusting, ironing, shining, polishing... and then I go to work!

Once I got to work, I took a deep breathe in and made myself a cuppa and then the day got better after that. Breathe Joolz, breathe!

Cheers - Joolz
